The Details
Enjoy authentic Lebanese cooking workshops presented by Lebanese maître chef Ghenwa. The theme for the first two workshops will be Lebanese cuisine. Ghenwa will introduce you not only to the dishes of Lebanon but to their geographical origins and the old cultures that created such dishes.
The workshops take place in her new venue at Lourensford Wine Estate, which has been specially designed and outfitted to offer a spacious, comfortable, and friendly cooking experience (see the gallery).
Lebanese cuisine is known to offer healthy diets common to Mediterranean cuisines and Ghenwa will discuss the health benefits of ingredients used, including vegetarian options that Lebanese cuisine is famous for.
- Hands-on cooking will start at the app. 9:30am and will last 3 hours.
- Dishes will feature 4 Mezze, a main dish and one dessert.
- Choices of dishes will vary and progress from the easier ones to more elaborate ones.
- Different menus will be presented for each workshop.
- The workshop will end with lunch served on a large table accommodating 16 people and the dishes prepared during the workshop.
- A complimentary glass of matching wine (savoury lemonade as the option for a non-alcoholic drink) will be offered, and along with consuming the lunch, discussions of the experience will be entertained.
- The conclusion of the event is expected at the app. 14:30 pm.
